FAQ
Questions, answered straight
The things clients ask before working with us — including the awkward ones.
Honest answer: it depends on scope, but here are real ranges. Small internal tools start around $5,000. Multi-module platforms typically run $20,000–$50,000+. After a free scoping call you get an itemised estimate valid for 60 days — and we never bill beyond it without written approval first. Product subscriptions (POS, CRM, ERP) start at $49/month with no build cost at all.
Product deployments go live in days to weeks — a single-outlet POS can be billing by Friday. Custom builds typically take 8–20 weeks depending on scope. Either way, you see working software every week from week two; we don't do six-month silences followed by a big reveal.
You do. For custom builds, full source code ownership transfers to you on final payment — repository, documentation, deployment scripts, everything. For products, your data is always yours: export it any time in standard formats (CSV, Excel, SQL dump). We consider data lock-in a business model for companies whose product can't retain customers on merit.
Yes — ASRON systems currently run in eight countries. We work in English, overlap comfortably with time zones from GMT to GMT+8, and run the entire engagement remotely except physical hardware installation, which our partner network covers in major markets.
The opposite — post-launch is most of our business. Every custom build includes a 90-day warranty on everything we shipped. After that, support retainers cover monitoring, security patching, backups, and small enhancements with guaranteed response times. 96% of clients continue with us year over year, which we consider the only vanity metric worth having.
Customisable, genuinely. We wrote every line of every product, so there's no vendor to wait on and no "that's not possible in this version." Frequently requested customisations often graduate into product features that every customer gets — our scholarship workflow in School ERP started as one school's request.
A deliberately boring core: Node.js/TypeScript and Laravel on the backend, React on the web, Flutter on mobile, PostgreSQL/MySQL for data, AWS/Azure/GCP for cloud. We choose technologies for the decade, not the demo — and we'll happily explain why any given choice fits (or doesn't fit) your project.
Yes — rescue and takeover work is a regular part of our practice. We start with a paid technical audit (credited against future work) that tells you honestly whether the system is worth saving or cheaper to rebuild. Roughly half the time the answer is "save it," and we say so.
Custom projects are milestone-based: typically 30% to start, then staged payments tied to demonstrated deliverables you've actually seen working. Subscriptions are monthly or yearly (yearly saves 20%). No hidden fees — hosting, backups, and updates are included in every product plan.
Our smallest client is a single-counter pharmacy on ASRON POS at $49/month. Our largest runs a 400-employee manufacturing ERP. The products make us affordable at small scale; the engineering practice makes us capable at large scale. Wherever you are between those, we've built for someone your size.
